Apostle J.V. Porter is a pastor, teacher, civic leader, humanitarian, entrepreneur, life coach, mentor, and visionary whose impact extends across generations. As the Founder and Presiding Prelate of United Gospel Fellowship Covenant Ministries, International, and Senior Pastor of Christ Cathedral in Fayetteville, North Carolina, he is committed to building a purpose-driven church that reflects the principles of worship, ministry, evangelism, fellowship, and discipleship. His bold and uncompromising teaching of God’s Word has transformed lives locally, nationally, and internationally, equipping believers to walk in purpose, power, praise, prayer, and excellence. Grounded in 2 Corinthians 4:5—”For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord”—he remains dedicated to making Christ known and strengthening the Body of Christ.

Apostle Porter leads by example, living by the motto, “You must be what you want others to become in every area of your life.” His leadership reflects a commitment to holiness, discipline, and excellence. His diverse background includes military service in the United States and Europe, public education, and church administration, all of which have shaped his ability to lead with strategy and wisdom. Under his financial stewardship, his multi-million dollar ministry has achieved debt freedom, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable growth and kingdom expansion.

His ministry extends beyond the pulpit, reaching nations through missionary work in Haiti, the West Indies, Panama, South America, Key West, Florida, and the Gulf region. A certified tour guide for the Holy Land, he has led believers on transformative journeys through biblical history. In addition to his pastoral work, he serves as President of Christ Bible College and CEO/Director of Christ Village Resort and Conference Center and The Christian Cultural Center, all based in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the prestigious Order of the Long Leaf Pine and the Keys to the City of Fayetteville.

Apostle Porter’s greatest joy is his family. He has served alongside his wife and ministry partner, Pastor Nora Y. Porter, for over 45 years, building a legacy of faith and leadership. He is the proud father of four accomplished sons and the loving grandfather of ten. His life remains dedicated to empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and advancing the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Nora Yarbrough Porter is a devoted minister whose passionate delivery of the Word of God has transformed countless lives. Gifted in exhortation and encouragement, she has been a vessel of healing, inspiration, and spiritual renewal. A true worshiper, she carries a divine anointing that ushers people into a powerful atmosphere of praise and worship.

Her ministry is especially impactful among women, challenging them to walk boldly in their God-given purpose with confidence and faith. She speaks truth without compromise, equipping women to grow spiritually, embrace their identity in Christ, and pursue excellence in every area of life. She is committed to seeing individuals not only hear and receive the Word of God but also live it out in full spiritual transformation.

Pastoring alongside her husband, Apostle J.V. Porter, for over 45 years, she serves at Christ Cathedral in Fayetteville, NC, as President of Women in Ministry and Church Administrator. In addition, she is the National Women’s Supervisor and a member of the Board of Presbyter for the United Gospel Fellowship Covenant Ministries. With decades of dedicated service, she understands the significance of commitment, honor, and faithfulness in building God’s Kingdom. Her leadership is marked by wisdom, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to the body of Christ.

A graduate of Fayetteville State University, Pastor Nora’s dedication to excellence has earned her numerous accolades, including the Order of the Long Leaf Pine of North Carolina, one of the state’s highest honors. She is also a published author, with three impactful books: A Cry for Unity, Raise Your Level of Thinking, and Mother Porter’s Cookbook.

Pastor Nora’s love for people is evident in her servant’s heart, hospitality, and genuine care for those she mentors. Affectionately called “Mother,” she nurtures and guides many, offering wisdom, support, and spiritual counsel to those in need.

Born and raised in Decatur, Alabama, Pastor Nora is deeply committed to her family. She is a devoted wife, a proud mother of four accomplished sons, and a loving grandmother of nine. She remains steadfast in her pursuit of faith, family, and excellence, leaving a lasting impact on all who encounter her ministry
